About Lingo Tales

Lingo Tales is a story-driven language learning app built around personalized reading, vocabulary tracking, mini-games, AI-supported tutoring, messaging, social features, optional premium subscriptions, and audio listening through Story Reader, Lingo Radio, background playback, and CarPlay.

Getting started

Stories are not loading or generating

Try the following:
- Confirm that your device has an active internet connection- Force-close and reopen the app- Check that you are signed in to the correct account- Update to the latest app version- If the issue continues, contact support with the story title, your target language, device model, iOS version, and app version

Messages, voice notes, or social uploads are failing

Please check:
- Microphone and photo permissions in iOS Settings, if applicable- Whether the upload was attempted on a stable network- Whether the content may violate community or age-related restrictions- Whether the app is fully updated

Notifications are not arriving

Check:
- iOS Settings > Notifications > Lingo Tales- In-app notification preferences- Low Power Mode or Focus settings that may delay delivery- Whether you recently signed out and back in

Ads or ad-consent choices

The free experience may display ads. If ad consent options are available in your region, you can review them inside the app’s settings under ad privacy choices.

Premium subscriptions

Lingo Tales offers premium access through Apple in-app subscriptions. Premium features may include:
- Ad-free learning- Unlimited stories- Advanced audio in Story Reader and Lingo Radio- Longer Book Club stories- Chat with Ludwig- Additional learning features and subscriber-only upgrades
Availability of intro offers, trials, pricing, and benefits may vary by storefront and subscription plan.
If you have subscription issues:
- Open the app and use `Restore Purchases`- Confirm you are signed in with the same Apple Account used for purchase- Check Apple subscription status in your Apple Account settings- Contact support if your entitlement does not refresh after restoring
For billing questions, refunds, or payment-method changes, Apple may require you to manage the subscription directly through your Apple Account.

Location-based stories

Writer's Room can use your current location or a place you choose manually to inspire story settings.
If location-based stories are not working:
- Check iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Lingo Tales- Confirm location access is set to allow use while using the app- Try using `Edit Location` or manual place search if current location is unavailable- Reopen Writer's Room and try again after moving to a stable network connection
If you prefer not to share current location, you can keep location access off and use manual place selection where available.

Lingo Radio, background audio, and CarPlay

Lingo Radio supports story listening with background playback, and compatible iPhone builds may also support CarPlay.
If audio playback is not working as expected:
- Start a story from Lingo Radio and confirm the device volume is on- Verify your network connection for stories that require cloud-backed audio preparation- If background audio stops unexpectedly, reopen the player and start the story again- For CarPlay, connect to a compatible CarPlay head unit or simulator and start a story from Lingo Radio- If CarPlay does not show recent content right away, start playback on iPhone first and reopen CarPlay

iPad and macOS compatibility

Lingo Tales is also available on iPad and macOS-compatible builds.
If you notice layout or window-size issues:
- Update to the latest app version- Close and reopen the affected screen- On macOS, try resizing the window once to refresh the layout- Contact support with a screenshot and your device type if the issue continues

Ludwig's River Run

Ludwig's River Run is a mini-game included in the app experience.
If the game feels slow or unresponsive:
- Close other memory-intensive apps running on the device- Reopen the game after a fresh app launch- Make sure your app version is current- Contact support with your device model and app version if the issue continues

Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account from inside the app:
1. Open `Settings`2. Choose `Delete Account`3. Confirm the deletion request
If you need help deleting your account, email `ludwig@lingo-tales.com`.
When contacting support about deletion, include the email address associated with your account if possible. Do not send passwords.
