These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lingo Tales app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1 - Who We Are

Lingo Tales provides a story-driven language learning experience that may include AI-generated content, messaging, social features, and premium subscription features.

2 - Eligibility

You may use the Services only if you can form a binding agreement under applicable law and are not prohibited from using the Services under applicable law.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Services only with any consent required by law from a parent or legal guardian.

3 - Accounts

You may need an account to use some or all features. You agree to:

- Provide accurate information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Promptly update account information when it changes
- Be responsible for activity that occurs through your account

You must not share your account in a way that compromises security or violates these Terms.

4 - Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

- Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or exploit other users
- Upload or distribute content that is defamatory, infringing, obscene, sexually exploitative, hateful, or otherwise prohibited
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Services
- Circumvent safety features, moderation tools, entitlements, subscription checks, or access controls
- Use bots or automation to access the Services in unauthorized ways
- Submit sensitive personal information in public, social, or shared areas of the app unless clearly necessary

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to users or the Services.

5 - User Content

You may submit content such as profile details, messages, audio, images, videos, posts, comments, prompts, feedback, and other materials ("User Content").

You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant Lingo Tales a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, publish, transmit, and display that content as needed to operate, improve, secure, moderate, and provide the Services.

You represent that:

- You own or have the rights necessary to submit the User Content
- Your User Content does not violate law or the rights of others
- Your User Content complies with these Terms and any community rules

6 - Social, Messaging, and Community Features

Some features allow you to interact with other users. You understand that:

- Information you share through public or shared features may be seen by others
- Group conversations and social content may involve multiple participants
- We may moderate, remove, restrict, or review content to enforce safety rules, legal obligations, or product policies

We are not responsible for user conduct, but we reserve the right to investigate and act on reports or suspected misuse.

7 - AI-Generated and Educational Content

The Services may use automated or AI-assisted systems to generate stories, tutoring responses, recommendations, or audio. These outputs are provided for language-learning and entertainment purposes.

You understand that:

- Generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, repetitive, or unsuitable in some contexts
- The Services are not a substitute for professional educational, medical, legal, financial, or mental health advice
- You are responsible for evaluating how you use generated outputs

8 - Premium Features, Purchases, and Subscriptions

Certain features may require a paid subscription or purchase through Apple.

If you subscribe through Apple:

- Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled according to Apple’s terms and policies
- Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account settings
- Restoring purchases may require signing in to the same Apple Account used to buy the subscription

We may change pricing, packaging, or features to the extent permitted by applicable law and Apple platform rules.

9 - App Availability and Service Changes

We may add, remove, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including social, messaging, AI, advertising, or premium features.

We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10 - Feedback

If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you agree that we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

11 - Privacy

12 - Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. You may also request account deletion through the app where available.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if:

- You violate these Terms
- We are required to do so by law
- Your use creates risk, legal exposure, or harm to users, third parties, or the ServicesSections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions on content rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute-related provisions.

13 - Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINGO TALES DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

- The Services will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Content will always be accurate or suitable
- Defects will always be corrected
- The Services will always be secure or free from harmful components

14 - Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINGO TALES AND ITS AFFILIATES, SERVICE PROVIDERS, LICENSORS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF LINGO TALES FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

- THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LINGO TALES THROUGH THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

15 - Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lingo Tales and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of:

- Your use of the Services
- Your User Content
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of the rights of another person or entity

16 - Governing Law

Add your governing law and venue before publishing this page. For example, specify the state or country whose laws govern these Terms, excluding conflict-of-law rules, and identify the venue for disputes if you intend to do so.

17 - Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
